madonna fans are an accepting group. in fact, you need be a seriously hard core fan to understand what the fuck she was thinking. the final version, released through ICON, lives up to the title as far as production. the demo, however, contains a relentless bass line which is paired with a fierce guitar riff and topped with madonna's trademark vocal delivery. Either way, this track remains a favorite of mine as it shines as an example of what makes madonna such an underrated song writer. She seems to shy away from over-thinking the lyrics as she is ware that she can sell anything. It should also be noted that this track was intended for use in a broadway musical based on her rise to fame.
